I don't like lofi, but I love Scatman so much.

Nothing much to complain other than the lack of lyrics, it's really not the same without the "Bah boo beh."
I know Newgrounds doesn't allow samples like those, but like, you should get someone to do it for you, it would really make the song that much better.

Also what's up with the ending? Why does it abruptly end? Also the end fades in too quickly, is it supposed to loop? Idk, you should probably have changed that.

Maybe you should make the whole thing a bit louder? Seems a bit quiet.

Overall, a fairly good remix/cover, other than being quiet, and lacking lyrics.

Thanks for the response! This is a pretty old song which was stored on a computer with a corrupted hard drive. As a result, I had to download it from my youtube channel! The weird cropping is the automatic looping in FLStudio as I screen recorded it for the "Music Video"

Thanks!

There is probably some good song writing in here... Somewhere... But I certainly can't hear it.

Tip #1: get better sound equipment, don't record this song with your early 2000s Nokia phone.

Tip #2: Yeah, that's about all I got, the song would definitely be actually listenable if you did pretty much any kind of recording, but you seemingly did it all with an old phone or something.

I know this is like, punk, but like, any type of recording would be nice. Like, any.

There would be probably a decent punk band in there somewhere if you got better recording software but for now it's a low score.

Ragkul responds:

the song was recorded in low quality on purpose, it was low quality with the low pass filter, with a vinyl disc emulator, with a tube amplifier, etc ...

It's a pretty good song, but the mixing is fairly bad, reminds me a bit of Ocularnebula.

The start is pretty good but the bass drum is fairly unfitting, also the voice-sounding synth at 00:15 is loud going in, things need to be toned down a bit, things need to generally be changed up. The song also sounds fairly mono when it comes to drums, very little effects on the drums making it sound a little like an early techno song.

Around 00:23 is some fairly good mixing other than generally the voice-sounding synth being too loud, having too much of a presence, needs to be toned down by quite a lot.

At about 00:48 is really good, not much to complain about, the song should be generally mixed like that, but maybe around here the hihats should be turned down a bit,

The drums at the end are really fitting, and really fit the end. However, the weird reverb/high pass on the gameboy synth doesn't sound very good.

I also noticed at 00:42 the hihats seemingly either get louder or transition to a different sample entirely, it's a little hard to notice but I certainly did, sounds a little jarring.

Minor moments of just things getting a little too loud all around, should maybe work on that a bit.

The track also just simply doesn't loop very well, it doesn't feel like a clean loop, don't know if that's a mistake or not.

The structuring, and melodies are overall just really good though, really shines in the melody/songwriting department honestly, other than being loud at times it's just a really well-written song.

Overall, a pretty good track other than the mixing, a lot of potential, will be following.

zami responds:

thx for the great feedback!! idk what happened, MP3s leave a little silence at the beginning, which ruins the loop. a wav render loops nicely for me
